CBS National Mentorship Programme 2025/2026
Could you Inspiring the Next Generation of Surgeons?
The Confederation of British Surgery (CBS) is delighted to launch its National Mentorship Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year. This initiative aims to connect medical students with experienced surgeons from across the UK to provide guidance, support, and insight into a career in surgery.
Approved for 7 CPD hours by RCSEd.
Programme Details:
Duration: November 2025 – July 2026
Format: One-to-one mentorship (minimum of 4 meetings, virtual or in-person)
Who can be a mentor? Any practicing surgeon in the UK, regardless of CBS membership
Mentor benefits:
- Recognition with a CBS Certificate of Participation
- Eligibility to receive 7 CPD points
- A chance to support and inspire future surgical professionals
We provide suggested session themes and light structure, but meetings can be tailored to suit both mentor and mentee preferences.
